Kalpataru House is a building that houses multiple companies on different floors. Our task was to design an identity, icons, signage system, and merchandise design that would reflect the traditional values of the Kalpataru tree, which means fulfills wishes in the Hindu religion.
Designing the Identity
We started by creating a symbol of a tree using lines, with each line representing a wish. When combined, the lines create a full tree, representing the fulfillment of all wishes. The lines are also used to create textures for the leaves, adding depth and detail to the design.
Choosing the Color Palette
For the color palette, we chose shades of green that are calming and spread positivity. Green is also a color associated with growth and nature, which ties in nicely with the tree symbol.
Creating the Signage System
We used a sans-serif font for the signage system to ensure that the text is bold and easy to read. The signage system is designed to be clear and concise, guiding visitors and tenants throughout the building.
