A few months back we got a call to make an art piece ( Mural ) for a hotel.
I suggested we make it using nail n thread.
As the hotel is in Rajkot we decided to showcase ‘Rangilu Rajkot’ in the art.
We planned on fabricating the city’s heritage ‘Raytanaka Tower’ and blending in the much-loved festival of ‘Markarsankranti’, which is celebrated with immense vigor in Gujarat, with it.
The Art piece displays the happiness and enthusiasm the boy feels while he flies his kite high up in the sky near the Rayyanaka Tower. It adds positivity and joy to a place.
There are lots and lots of research required before we start the work like, research about houses elevation, nails size and materials, thread thickness, color combination, quality and pattern etc…..
After all of these and more, after so many trial and errors, we finally completed our art piece successfully after 25 days. It was one amazing ride filled with dedication and creativity.
