Textiles Live is a non-profit organization that supports handcrafted cloth makers and individual artists from Kutch who create clothes based on traditional values, designs, and styles, but with a modern twist. Our task was to design an e-commerce website that reflects the artistic nature of our organization and showcases the talent of our artists to the world.
The website’s design is not commercial or generic but instead, it is artistic, with a focus on showcasing the artists’ work. Our artists’ faces, their processes, and their products are all showcased on the website. Users can browse and purchase products by artist or by product category. Our goal was to create a user-friendly flow with engaging visuals that enhance the user experience.
We used a natural color palette that complements the handmade and natural cloth dyeing used in all our products. The website features illustrations and photographs that reflect our artists’ work, with added value to highlight their unique features. Users can easily find information about our products, artists, and other organization activities.
Overall, our goal was to create a website that reflects the spirit of Textiles Live and showcases our artists’ talent and creativity to the world.
